Job Description
Affinity Trust is proud to be working in Hertfordshire for the first time, to support adults with learning disabilities moving into supported living from health services and other settings. The people we will be supporting are going through a big, but exciting period of change in their lives and need staff to support them who will work in person-centred and innovative ways to make a real difference to their lives.
Six people will be moving to these new, purpose-built flats; they have learning disabilities and mental health needs and can be very challenging towards staff, who will therefore need to be confident and skilled in dealing with people who challenge and to work in positive ways which reduce the challenges presented.
Staff will need to be committed to the concepts of individualised and person-centred support and be able to provide personal care, enabling the people we support to live their daily lives at home, develop new skills and build full and meaningful lives through a range of activities at home and in the local community.
The Support Manager will be responsible for the team of around 30 staff, will manage the service budget and will oversee person-centred individualised support which ensures that the people supported in the service have full and meaningful lives.
