Job Description
Our client is a delightful, purpose built registered care home in Thame, Oxfordshire, providing high quality nursing, residential and dementia care to older people. The home is owned by a ‘not for profit’ registered charity.
They are currently looking to recruit Registered General Nurses for day shifts to deliver high quality nursing care to service users and to support the Home Manager and Head of Care in the smooth and efficient running of the home. Job role:
€¢ Responsible for the day to day delivery of high quality care to residents
€¢ Leading of care staff on duty and promoting good practice
€¢ Monitoring of care practices, identifying and responding to the changing needs of residents
€¢ Assisting the Head of Care in the planning, implementation and review of individual care plans
€¢ Liaising with relatives, health professionals and management
€¢ Ensuring that all medications including CDs are ordered, stored, administered and disposed of
€¢ Supporting and advising of care staff in all aspects of their role
€¢ Dealing with staff rotas and staffing emergencies
€¢ Ensuring that sufficient number of staff on duty at all times
€¢ Ensuring the Health And Safety requirements are met at all times
€¢ Responsible for current NMC registration
€¢ Responsible for continuously developing own knowledge and skills

Requirements:
€¢ Valid NMC Pin Number
€¢ Previous experience of working in a nursing home or a related clinical setting
€¢ Knowledge of the care of the elderly
€¢ Experience in dementia care desirable
€¢ Efficient communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
€¢ Good time management skills
€¢ Professional and flexible attitude to work
€¢ The ability to keep calm and cope under pressure
