POSITION: RESEARCH SCIENTIST New Electronic Devices and Systems

TYPE: PERMANENT START DATE: NOW, BUT THEY WILL WAIT FOR THE RIGHT PERSON LOCATION: OXFORDSHIRE SALARY: £28k - £40k (DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE)

The client Our client is a highly regarded Research and Development organisation specialising in consumer electronics. They have in-depth experience, knowledge and are right are the front of R&D for the next chapter of the technology future in areas such as 3D electronic displays, semi-conductor lasers, language and encryption software, E-learning, consumer bio-science and renewable energy.

The role RESEARCH SCIENTIST New Devices and Systems We are looking for a Research Scientist who wants to help shape the consumer electronics future. We are keen to hear from you if you are a recent PhD Graduate or are currently a Research Scientist or Research Fellow. The great thing about this position is you will actually get to see your Research Development effort put into practice. It doesn\'t just stop with a Presentation!

The area of expertise we are looking for is in the development of next-generation innovative products and Systems.

Responsibilities will include:

  • R&D on New Semiconductor Devices and Electronic Systems
  • Identifying opportunities to create new technologies.
  • Developing ideas from concept to product
  • Create and execute a plan to develop ideas from concept to commercial impact
  • Undertake proof-of-principle experiments and use electronic design skills to create prototype systems including those based around 3D LCD/Displays expertise and capabilities
You will need:
  • Masters or PhD, or equivalent postgraduate experience, in computer science, Physics, engineering or a related discipline.
  • A mix of R&D skills (Electronics, mechanical, materials and Physics)
  • Ability to take ideas from concept to prototype.
  • Proven experience of designing using proof of principle experiments
  • Proven ability to build complex electronic systems/prototypes involving both hardware and software.
