1st / 2nd Line Technical Support Analyst
Bourne End
Salary GBP15000 – GBP21000
Our client, a growing IT services provider, requires a 1st or 2nd line support analyst to work on a busy helpdesk in Bourne End. The Technical Support Analysts will deliver technical support via the telephone, email and using remote access software, to our increasing client base.
1st / 2nd Line Technical Support Analyst Role:
- Answer the telephone and log calls into our helpdesk application; entering detailed information as to what the problem is and what actions have been taken so far to rectify
- Attempt first time fix; working with the user and your team to try to resolve the issue as quickly as possible
- Calling the user back at agreed timescales to ensure they are kept abreast of the situation and understand what the next steps are and when they will happen
- You need to be a calm and assured person who works well under pressure and to tight deadlines, is very well presented and has very good communication skills
1st / 2nd Line Technical Support Analyst Candidate:
- Ideally you will have an up to date MCP qualification
- Experience of working on a busy IT helpdesk as either a 1st Line Support or 2nd line support
- Experience of administering/configuring Microsoft products (Windows XP / Windows 2000 / 2003 Server)
- Understanding of TCP/IP, WAN/LAN including routers, switches and firewalls
- Experience of developing and maintaining relationships
- Driven, self motivated, hard working
- Excellent communications skills
- Well presented
